Event Description
Enjoy an intimate evening with romantic jazz vocalist Thos Shipley.
Along with pianist, Mark Soskin, Cameron Brown on bass and percussionist, Emedin Rivera.
The gig takes place in the lower duplex of hosts, Jim and Dave's private home - an 1850's, Gothic Revival, brick row house. The music is up-close and personal. This is the ultimate, intimate setting to experience live-music! "Our mission is to attract new audiences to Jazz by presenting great musicians in a totally unique house party/salon type atmosphere where Jazz can thrive and the guests become "family". The synergy that develops between the musicians and the audience in this context simply must be experienced!"
The show starts at 9 p.m. Doors open at 8:15 p.m. and the $30 cover includes snacks and refreshments.

Train /Bus Directions:
1) From Manhattan - Take the "A/C" train to High St. (1st stop in Brooklyn) and stay in the first car. Go up the stairs and escalator at that end of the station. When you come out to the sidewalk, turn 180 degrees to face Manhattan. There will be a parking lot on your right that goes to the corner. Follow the sidewalk to that near corner and turn right. Continue walking past the parking lot crossing and wait for the B69 bus on that corner. B69 bus is the Vanderbilt Avenue line and will take you right past the house (you'll see red xmas lights lit up in our dogwood tree. Tell Driver to let you off at Myrtle Avenue. 2) Train/Bus option #2 - Take the F or A trains to Boro Hall (Brooklyn) Exit at the rear of train (if coming from Manhattan) OR front of train (if coming from Brooklyn) Take the B54 Bus to Vanderbilt Ave and we're half-way down the hill.
3) Train/Cab option #1 - Take the 2, 3, 4, 5 Trains to Nevins St. (Second stop into Brooklyn from Manhattan ) You'll be in downtown Brooklyn. (Corner of Nevins St. & Flatbush Aves) Catch a cab on Flatbush. We're less than a 5 minute ride away...
4) Train/Cab option #2 - Take the Q, B, D, M, N, R trains to Dekalb Ave. . First stop in Brooklyn from Manhattan. (corner of Dekalb & Flatbush) Catch a cab on Flatbush. We're less than a 5 minute ride away...
